Fun Facts
Sydney loves going on thrifting adventures, adding cool and unusual items to her collections; she especially loves collecting shoes and purses. Not only does Sydney collect items, she also collects animals as well! She currently has three cats, a dog, two snakes, a pig, goats, turkeys, and ducks. She plans to continue adding to her hobby farm with time.

Sydney is also a very committed Coca-Cola fanatic. You will likely notice a can of diet coke sitting on her desk at all times.
Sydney Wray, LCMHCA, Owner
Sydney Wray, LCMHCA is a counselor and co-director of House of Sparrow Counseling LLC. Sydney received her undergraduate degrees from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in Criminal Justice as well as in Sociology. She also received an Addictions Counseling certificate from UNCP. Sydney completed her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Sydney enjoys working with every age and people group, with a passion for counseling individuals who have experienced trauma and/or grief. Sydney believes that with encouragement and support, people will realize their own strengths, leading them to find healing within themselves. Sydney utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral therapy and Mindfulness, as well as various techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Anja Wray, Owner & Clinical Director
Anja Wray, co-director at House of Sparrow Counseling, is a career and college consultant, as well as Adjunct Faculty at Liberty University. In her role at House of Sparrow Counseling she will handle client care including scheduling, billing, and insurance claims as well as leading career and college consulting sessions. Anja received her B.S. in Apparel Design and Merchandising from Appalachian State University and a M.Ed. in Textile Product Design and Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is currently working on her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University and once graduated, will begin offering counseling services at House of Sparrow.
Fun Facts
Anja is a teacher and artist at heart. She has taught in public school, preschool and homeschool co-ops, and special needs art classes. Anja's three children mean the world to her but she has a special place in her heart for all the children of the world. She is also especially fond of animals. Her house is always full of fur thanks to her 125-pound Saint Bernard mix and two kittens.

When Anja is not working she is probably thrifting with her daughters, pondering how to redecorate her house, or doing some sort of art project.
Laney was recently gifted a tattoo gun and is enjoying practicing the art form. Who knows, she may be available for tattoos in the near future.

Laney's favorite place to be is her bed snuggling with her cat, Eden. She is known for her extremely long naps to recharge.
​When Laney is not in school or napping, she is probably out thrifting for treasures with her mom and sister. She loves vintage eclectic decor.

Laney Wray, Graphic Artist
Laney Wray is a logo designer offering services through House of Sparrow Counseling. She is dual-enrolled student at Guilford Technical Community College working on a Fine Arts Pathway and a Criminal Justice Certificate. She plans to graduate with her associate's degree and transfer into the University of North Carolina at Pembroke to get her bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. She would also eventually like to attend Liberty University to become a Clinical Mental Health Counselor.

Laney is a very talented artist and spends a lot of her free time drawing in Procreate, metal smithing, jewelry making, electroforming, painting, and embroidery. She is also responsible for the logo design for House of Sparrow and will continue to help with marketing materials.
